You can import student records into WorkExpo on a conditional basis using a update import. This is useful when you want to update records from your central school database rather than replace them.
Here's how a update import of student records works:
- The initial import process is identical to a normal import of records.
- On the last page of the Import Students wizard you flag the Update Import check box to true.
- Any new student records not found to currently exist in WorkExpo are imported in the normal way.
- For found existing student records the update import wizard updates the student details only.
- Any changed address or contact information is updated for the existing student, all other details are untouched.
- WorkExpo will look for a match on your school's StudentID field to determine an existing record.
