When dealing with large numbers of students it is very easy to forget something or overlook a particular aspect of a student's upcoming placement. Followup reminders allow you to keep track of things in particular students you may wish to follow-up at a later date. These followups are very similar to OutLook reminders or prompts which pop up on screen when a task or appointment is due. Followups can be set to prompt you to follow-up a student, an employer or a particular placement at a designated future date.
To create a new follow-up reminder for a student:
- In the Students window, choose a student you'd like to add a follow-up for and navigate to that student's record.
- Form the Edit menu choose Add New Followup
- The New Followup dialog appears.
- Enter the details and click OK. Note that you have an option of also sending a reminder to Microsoft Outlook (if installed).
- A new reminder icon will appear on screen near the student name to indicate that this student has a followup.
- Click this icon to view the followup details.
Notes:
- You can create followups for students, employers and/or arrangements.
- A student (or employer) may only have one followup at a time.
- WorkExpo does not delete followups when they have been completed, instead they are hidden.
- If you wish to delete old followups View Followups then select the followups you wish to delete and press the Delete key.
