This is a weird prob - hard to explain. This is the first time i have had to use workexpo on my new desktop. In 2019 I did not have this issue. When I print normally from my desktop to any of our network printers, it defaults to black and white and I can only print colour if I choose that in the printer properties. When using work expo print wizard, the printing defaults to the more expensive colour printing-in fact not even colour but auto. Yet even though the doc has no colour at all in it, the work expo doc is deemed to be colour and wants to charge me as such. I have not actually done a print int this mode as I dont want to run down my budget for printing! I have to go into the printer settings and change it to b and w. My tech has looked and cannot work out the problem. Hope this makes sense. I am in school tomorrow to try and prepare everything IN CASE kids are allowed to do work exp in 2 weeks time - I am naturally frustrated! Before you say why not email - getting employer emails off the kids forms is not an easy process-in the past printing paper work and presenting to the kids far easier! Wanganui Park SC, where I was CP for many years, was a user of the Work Expo package and I participated in a number of training sessions you ran in in your South Melbourne studio. We are currently scoping our options to manage `Experiences of Work`, a scaffolding approach we`ve adopted that of course includes SWL`s and Work Experience. In Careers we utilise Career Tools as our platform for students and the school uses Compass as it`s student management system. Given we are a school of 2400-2700 operating in 3 neighbourhoods (9 Houses) management of documentation and the sharing of information is a significantly larger task than we`ve had before. I could envisage us adopting Work Expo in our processes from the start of next year. Could you please indicate - software package cost - staff training options (and cost), I`d envisage we`d need 6-18 people trained in the package so training delivery options are important - system requirements, e.g I know that previously Macs were not compatible with the software unless we ran it through PC imitating software such as Parallels. Recently when users launch workexpo.mde it gets to the login page and hangs - not allowing the user to enter login credentials. We run the application off a network share. To test, I`ve copied the whole application local to a computer and it behaves the same, i.e it hangs when the dialog box to enter login credentials is presented. However, If I disable the network card on the local PC the application launches. It`s almost as if there is some dependency on an external connection before the application is ready.
